Artist-paper manufacturer Hahnemühle will travel to the 2013 Paperworld (26th to 29th January) in Frankfurt with a completely new booth that will be erected in hall 4.1, E10.
“We opted for a concept where the design underlines the expectations our premium products have to meet – and that features even more customer-friendly areas. I just can’t wait to see the response to the new outfit,” says Marketing and Distribution Director Norbert Klinke. Nonetheless, Klinke isn’t ready to reveal any details of the new booth. He wants the fair visitors to come to their own conclusions on site.more

With its imposing 49 x 69 centimetre format, UPON PAPER is set apart from your usual art magazine. Having been awarded with the red dot: grand prix 2012, the magazine perceives itself as an innovative platform for artists and creative people all over the world. The first issue focused on the topic ‘Los Angeles’, with ‘COLOR’ being the special topic of the recently published issue #2.
Photographers such as Peter Bailey and Wolfgang Tillmans have contributed perspectives and positions to the topic COLOR – and the same applies to performance artist and painter Hermann Nitsch, musician and artist Kim Gordon and author Julia Zange. The cover of the issue was created by Peter Saville and the centrefold by Nick Knight, who crosses the borders between art, fashion and pop culture. Other artists who contributed to UPON PAPER #02 COLOR are – inter alia – the likes of Walter Pfeiffer, Erwan Frotin, Michele Abeles, David Benjamin Sherry, Solange Brand and Steve Shapiro.more
On the occasion of the red dot awards ceremony on October 24, UPON PAPER magazine’s first issue won the coveted “red dot: grand prix” in the category Magazines & Daily Press – the highest possible distinction from one of the largest and best-known international design competitions. Of the 6,823 entries from 43 countries, only 15 participants received a grand prix from the jury, on which sat renowned experts from all over the world.more
Only a few paper manufacturers worldwide still produce real mould-made papers using the traditional cylinder mould method like Hahnemühle FineArt does. Due to the different mould structures, Hahnemühle can produce vellum or ribbed Fine Art papers, papers with four deckled edges characteristic of hand-made paper and with or without a watermark.more
At the 2012 photokina, Hahnemühle launched another paper intended for book album printing. In cooperation with designer Michael Sontag and fashion photographer Per Zennström Hahnemühle demonstratd the complete process of a fashion photography shoot at booth D017 in hall 06.1. The latest issue of Hahnemühle´s art magazine UPON PAPER had been part of our booth and last but not least the fine art experts demonstrated the variety and efficiency of precious fine art papers as part of the show ‘see me, feel me, print me’.

The nature scouts of the GFN (Association for nature conservancy in Einbeck and the surrounding region) are happy to announce a new observation platform over 3 meters in height in the nature region ‘Leinepolder.’ “The observation of native and migratory birds during their rest on the open water expense of the blocking debris or at the banks of the adjacent wetlands, is much better now” says Albert Engel from GFN.
The construction of the new observation deck was possible due to the donation totalling 15.000,-€ from Hahnemühle FineArt and Kreis-Sparkasse Northeim.Hahnemühle, as a long-established company based next to the bird sanctuary, supports this project for environmental education.more
