The Paper Art Award is sponsored and made possible by Canon, Certified Studio d’mage and Hahnemühle. It is awarded annually at paper positions in Berlin and honors artists who deal with the material paper in an outstanding, stimulating and independent way. A selection of works by the award winners will be purchased for the collection of the paper art museum “Haus des Papiers” in Berlin, with a total purchase value of 36.000 Euro.

From 27 – 30 April 2023, during the Berlin Gallery Weekend, the seventh edition of paper positions berlin presents 56 international galleries from 12 countries with their outstanding positions from contemporary and modern art with a focus on drawing and the material paper.
paper positions berlin wants this genre to be focused on at the Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepraesentanz, centrally located at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte, during the Berlin Gallery Weekend. The galleries and their artists are given a presentation opportunity, which is dedicated to the subject of drawing and the medium of paper with all its specific features, its fragility and its enormous versatility.
