“My name is Franziska, I’m 26 years old, and I’m currently in the final months of my training as an industrial clerk. At Hahnemühle, we have the opportunity to work at one of our subsidiaries during or after our apprenticeship. That’s why, in August and September 2024, I spent six weeks at Hahnemühle USA, located near Chicago, Illinois.
During my time there, I focused on marketing and sales. I also participated in the Printing United trade show in Las Vegas, the PRO Convention in Indianapolis, and several customer visits. In my free time, I explored various places, such as the football stadium in Green Bay and the impressive art museum in Milwaukee.
What I found particularly enriching were the conversations I had with Americans—both professionally and personally. These interactions allowed me to gain insight into some of the many facets of this diverse country. I’m incredibly grateful for these unforgettable and valuable experiences, and especially for the colleagues who welcomed me so warmly and introduced me to a different way of thinking.”
At Hahnemühle, apprentices not only work on exciting projects at our headquarters in Dassel but also have the chance to travel abroad. This could be as part of a product trade show, the additional European business qualification, or a stay at one of our subsidiaries.
