“The new Hahnemühle Canvas Metallic 350g is the first canvas with a metallic effect, which I printed on. The fabric is similar to the trendy metallic materials based on paper – just as textile inkjet canvas with a very nice surface.
The structure of the canvas is very harmonious and not too clogged up with the inkjet coating. The colour gamut of the printed images is as it should be for a glossy surface, pleasant and strong. The metallic effect is subtle, which is a very nice effect especially for black and white images. Depending on the viewing angle the image has a slight warm result.
The special feature: The canvas is laminated on an aluminum composite panel (Alu-Dibond) with a brushed surface rather than the usual stretched wooden frame. My fine art motif and the interesting combination of canvas and aluminum backing leads to an amazing result!”
