Hahnemühle FineArt GmbH is delighted to announce another prestigious award: ‘Brand of the Century’ as documented by the ‘Markenpreis der Deutschen Standards’ (Brand Award of the German Standards) together with inclusion as a member of the ‘Brands of the Century’ compendium. The latest edition of the book published every third year by Dr Florian Langenscheidt presents German brands of different product segments that are assessed as the strongest. The number of brands making it to the compendium as ‘Stars on the Brand Sky’ amount to a total of approximately 250 companies.
“We are truly delighted with this award,” said Bettina Scheerbarth, Hahnemühle Corporate Communications. “This accolade is awarded to those German companies that have set exemplary standards with their products.” An advisory board consisting of top class brand experts selected Hahnemühle as ‘Brand of the Century’ in the product category ‘Feinstpapier’ (finest paper). “We are honoured by having been made a part of this extraordinary brand project and to have the chance of taking a place in this line-up of tradition rich brands,” concluded Bettina Scheerbarth.
Founded in 1584, Hahnemühle invented Digital FineArt paper more than 15 years ago and is still regarded as the pioneer of true artist papers for photography and reproductions. The papers – manufactured in the same paper factory for over 430 years – feature a special coating that has no effect on the paper’s haptic properties. This inkjet coating makes it possible to create prints with razor-sharp images in spectacular colours or black and white.
Internationally celebrated artists present their works on the Digital FineArt Collection’s more than 20 different papers. Prints on Hahnemühle papers enjoy an exceptional reputation among photographers and collectors alike. Made in Germany, the papers are prized in 80 countries around the world. Headquartered in Dassel in Germany’s South Lower Saxony, the company has branches in the UK, France, the US and China, and employs some 180 staff worldwide.
