This February, Hahnemühle proudly steps onto the ice, quite literally, as presenting partner of the Rockford IceHogs’ Centennial Celebration Weekend, a tribute to legacy, craftsmanship, and the enduring power of materials made to last. Timed with two historic milestones, the 90th anniversary of the American Hockey League and the 100th season of the Chicago Blackhawks (Parent Club of the Rockford Icehogs)), this collaboration reflects values Hahnemühle has upheld for centuries: respect for heritage, precision in craft, and deep partnerships with creative and cultural institutions.
Our Mark on the Jersey and the Moment
At the center of the weekend is a newly unveiled retro-inspired IceHogs jersey, worn during home games on February 14–15 and featuring the Hahnemühle logo proudly displayed as part of the design. While the jersey imagines what an IceHogs sweater could have looked like 90 years ago, its execution is unmistakably modern, purposeful, intentional, and built with storytelling in mind. For Hahnemühle, being integrated into this visual narrative is more than sponsorship; it is alignment. Just as our papers are chosen by artists, museums, and photographers to preserve work for generations, this jersey honors hockey history while creating a collectible future artifact.

Collaboration Rooted in Art & Community
The jersey crest was designed by local artist Lissette Tellado, whose illustration draws inspiration from early 20th-century animation. Her work bridges sport and art, exactly the intersection where Hahnemühle has long operated. Supporting artists, designers, and craftspeople is not a campaign for us; it is our daily practice. That spirit continues off the ice. During Centennial Celebration Weekend at the BMO Center, Hahnemühle will host a dedicated brand booth, inviting fans to engage with our world beyond paper:
● Complimentary giveaways
● Interactive raffles
● Special auction items tied to the weekend
All proceeds from the Hahnemühle-led auctions will directly benefit the Rockford IceHogs Community Fund, supporting initiatives that strengthen and uplift the local community the IceHogs proudly serve. This shared commitment underscores a belief held by both organizations: creativity, sport, and culture thrive when they give back to the communities that sustain them.
Collecting History: Jerseys & Artist Editions
Following each Centennial Celebration Weekend game, the game-worn jerseys will be auctioned digitally via the IceHogs app in partnership with Dash, allowing fans to participate throughout the entire weekend. Winning bidders will be announced during the third period of Sunday’s game, culminating in a rare, personal moment, winners will receive their jerseys directly from the players, complete with an autograph and photo opportunity. Each jersey becomes more than a collectible; it becomes a living artifact of IceHogs history. Expanding the collectible experience beyond the ice, a limited-edition fine art print will also be auctioned, translating the Centennial visual language into a lasting work on paper, designed to be preserved, displayed, and passed on.
For Hahnemühle, this partnership reflects a broader philosophy: craft belongs where culture lives. Whether in a museum archive, a photographer’s studio, or a packed arena on game night, the principles remain the same, authenticity, longevity, and respect for those who create and those who collect. Centennial Celebration Weekend is more than a hockey event. It is a statement about legacy, how it is designed, how it is experienced, and how it is carried forward through art, community,
and shared history. We are honored to stand with the Rockford IceHogs during this historic season and proud to see the Hahnemühle name woven into a moment that celebrates the past while creating something built to endure.
