The Hahnemühle team is looking forward to creative culinary highlights, when it comes to the new watercolour competition. Themed ‘Culinary Delights’ the topic whets the appetite for refined dishes, traditional and local specialities, exotic fruit or still lifes as if from paradise. The third international watercolour competition for the Hahnemühle FineArt Calendar 2013 underlines: good dishes also have to be a feast for the eye.
“In the next Hahnemühle calendar, we combine two passions: cooking and painting” said Yvonne Häfner, the competition organiser. “I’m looking forward to receiving pictures from all over the world featuring regional specialities. Everything is possible, as long as it has to do with real treats and joie de vivre.”
Hamburg’s painter and graphic artist Sven Brauer whets the appetite for the competition with his culinary watercolours and sense of humour: “I paint Northern German specialities such as small or big fishes on Hahnemühle artist paper. Even if taken to rainy art markets, the paper remains absolutely flat and smooth after having dried – and the small fishes are back ashore.”
