Hahnemühle to launch an international student photo competition!
On 1st March 2019, Hahnemühle will launch a photo competition titled ‘Show us your series’. Hahnemühle’s international student photo competition is aimed at creative young talent. All students who are enrolled in a university or a photography school, who specialise in photography are eligible to take part.
Hahnemühle is setting high standards for the students, as each participant is asked to submit a series of five photos via the online portal. Students can submit their entries from 1st March to 30th April 2019, via the online portal at www.hahnemuehle.com/photocompetition.
The competition consists of two rounds. In the first round, the jury selects 50 finalists from all the online entries. In the second and final round, the 50 finalists will submit their photo series printed on Hahnemühle paper. Hahnemühle will provide the finalists with the paper of their choice. To judge the competition, Hahnemühle has put together an internationally renowned jury international experts from the photography industry. The jury assesses not only the creativity of the series, but also looks at photographic quality and how suitable the choice of paper is for the subject matter.
The winners will receive attractive cash prizes: the top three finalists will receive cash prizes of EUR 1,500 for first place, EUR 1,000 for second place and EUR 500 for third place. The winning photo series will be displayed at the Hahnemühle stand at Photokina 2020 (including PR support).
