At Hahnemühle, gripping pictures are always in demand. And even more so when it comes to the design for product packaging. After all, the customer should understand at first glance what it’s all about: the perfect reproduction of great pictures. Seeking subjects for the ‘Hahnemühle Photo’ line, gave young photographers the opportunity to present their works. “With ‘EVA//Schule für Fotografie//Hamburg‘ we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with for our idea,” stated Hahnemühle product manager Andrea Sippel, and added: “With their fresh presence, the works visualise the paper’s credo.”
Hahnemühle Photo was conceived as an everyday print product for a demanding clientele, that expects high quality at reasonable prices for their daily work. The picture series comprises a total of 10 works provided by eight students. Three of the pictures can be seen on the product boxes in different sizes. Nine of the works are used for a sample book that demonstrate all the different types of paper within the line. The types differ by their surface structure and the level of gloss. No matter if black and white or coloured, matt or gloss: every individual work has got its special effect and demonstrates the impressive reproduction performance of the papers. “Due to the consistently positive experiences, we regard this collaboration as the start of many more partnerships with colleges and young artists,” explained Sippel who is already looking forward to future projects.
Hahnemühle Photo is a basic assortment of universally usable inkjet papers that are ideal for daily printing. This easy to use paper range display a very good quality and provide an attractive price point, making them an excellent choice for standard photos, poster prints and photo books. Cellulose based natural papers or resin coated substrate materials, combined with an optimised inkjet coating for photo application, ensure the best results for everyday printing.
