Hahnemühle is proud to announce its continued partnership with Prints for Wildlife, the acclaimed conservation fundraising initiative that has raised over $2.1 million USD since 2020 through the sale of limited-edition fine art photographic prints. Following the success of previous campaigns printed on Hahnemühle Hemp paper, the 2025 collaboration will introduce Hemp Gloss Baryta, a new sustainable glossy paper that will make its public debut within this year’s campaign, titled ‘Edition Hope.’
Prints for Wildlife: Combining Art and Conservation
Prints for Wildlife unites more than 240 photographers worldwide who contribute unique wildlife and nature images to support vital conservation efforts. By offering exclusive, limited-edition photographic prints for one month only, the initiative donates 100% of proceeds (after printing and handling costs) directly to nonprofit organisations committed to protecting wildlife and natural habitats.
In previous editions, hundreds of prints produced on Hahnemühle Hemp have been distributed globally, finding their place in homes, galleries, and offices, and garnering attention from high-profile supporters.
Introducing Hemp Gloss Baryta: A New Standard in Sustainable Fine Art Paper
Hahnemühle Hemp Gloss Baryta represents a significant evolution of the popular matt Hahnemühle Hemp paper, combining environmentally friendly hemp fibres with the refined qualities of a glossy baryta surface. This innovative paper retains the renewable base of fast-growing hemp, minimising environmental impact, while delivering exceptional image performance with deep, rich blacks, striking contrast, and vibrant colour reproduction. The elegant gloss finish enhances the depth, texture, and tonal range of prints, giving them a timeless fine art presence. Prior to its official launch scheduled for October 2025, Hemp Gloss Baryta will be exclusively used in the Prints for Wildlife ‘Edition Hope’ campaign, offering its first real-world showcase in service of an important cause.
Edition Hope: Addressing a Critical Global Challenge
The 2025 Prints for Wildlife campaign confronts the growing political and financial challenges facing environmental protection worldwide. With conservation programs increasingly threatened by deregulation, funding cuts, and commodification of nature, the campaign seeks to amplify its global impact through new partnerships, including with Conservation International.
The Edition Hope collection showcases a diverse range of compelling imagery, from sweeping landscapes and intimate wildlife portraits to human interest stories and fine art macro photography. All works will be printed on Hemp Gloss Baryta by the Hahnemühle Certified Studio ThePrintSpace in the USA, UK, and Germany.
