“We were looking for a high-quality paper in order to remain consistent with our commitment to enhancing printed media in line with our motto ‘Exceptional image, exceptional paper’.” stated Stéphane Tisseyre, co-founder of oneart, France, on the choice of Hahnemühle Hemp paper for the official Paris 2024 posters for the Olympics and Paralympics. “These premium posters are special because the Hahnemühle Hemp paper was also the illustrator’s choice. We are constantly striving to remain faithful to the artists’ intentions, and I remember the look and approving smile on Ugo Gattoni’s face when I showed him the first proof – it was love at first sight!” recalls Stéphane Tisseyre, from the printing studio.
We are very proud to have been selected with our Digital Fine Art Hemp Paper for all limited edition prints and premium posters. Hahnemühle Hemp, as a plant-based, tree-free and vegan paper, fits perfectly with the Olympic theme of sustainability and world-class performance in sport.
The organisers of Paris 2024 commissioned Ugo Gattoni to design the official posters, which are digital illustrations depicting a colourful and festive vision of sport and the French art de vivre, showing the most famous Parisian landmarks in both day and night versions. The night version of the 2024 FineArt prints sold out long before the start of the Olympic Games.
In addition to these official posters, the Paris 2024 organisers offered artists from all over the world a unique platform to express the Olympic and Paralympic values through their various practices, including photography, illustration, painting, drawing and collage. For the first time in history, the Organising Committee has developed the Artistic Posters programme in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). These posters are part of the Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad.
Congratulations to our colleagues at Hahnemühle France, who collaborate with print studio OneArt in France for all limited editions. The artworks can be seen and purchased here: https://oneart.fr/en
