Presence at the OFF Festival and Selected Exhibitions in the Main Programme
Hahnemühle is once again part of the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles in 2026 – one of the most important international gatherings for contemporary photography. Our presence spans two areas: the OFF Festival in collaboration with INLAND, as well as selected exhibitions within the official festival programme.
A particular highlight in the main festival is the exhibition:
A SENSE OF PLACE – Harry Gruyaert
📍 Chapelle Saint-Martin du Méjan (Le Méjan, Place Nina Berberova)
📅 6 July – 4 October 2026
The exhibition by Magnum photographer Harry Gruyaert presents a compelling visual exploration of places and atmospheres. All works are printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta, underlining the significance of the printed image as a central means of expression in photographic art.
Presence at the OFF Festival: Collaboration with INLAND
As part of the OFF Festival, Hahnemühle is once again collaborating with INLAND. This partnership is deliberately focused on experimental formats, exchange, and professional networking within the international photography community.
The central venue for these activities is Le Printemps:
📍 2 Av. La Fayette, 13200 Arles
📅 6 – 8 July 2026
During the opening week, this space will serve as an open forum for encounters, conversations, and new creative connections. The programme is complemented by smaller exhibitions and projects in collaboration with partners such as ProfiFoto and further international contributors.
Two Key Formats in the OFF Programme
At the heart of the OFF activities are two formats that highlight different aspects of photographic practice:
“THE BATTLE”
📅 Monday, 6 July 2026 | 6:00 pm
“THE BATTLE” is a live format that stages photography as a performative and collective process. Teams from collectives, agencies, schools, or creative communities compete against one another with a curated selection of images. The focus is not solely on the individual photograph, but on the question of how images are read, assessed, and experienced in context. The audience is actively involved in this process and becomes part of the decision-making. Participation is free of charge.
📌 Application deadline: 10 June 2026 (Apply via INLAND.)
SPEED DATING SESSIONS
📅 Wednesday, 8 July 2026
The Speed Dating Sessions offer a deliberately more intimate format. In short, curated one-to-one conversations, photographers meet with curators, editors, agencies, and Hahnemühle experts. These conversations are direct, open, and practice-oriented. New projects, collaborations, or professional opportunities frequently emerge as a result. Places are limited; participation is free of charge.
Exchange, Visibility and New Perspectives

Beyond Le Printemps
Beyond the OFF Festival and the main programme, Hahnemühle is involved in additional collaborations across Arles. Together with partners from the industry, further exhibitions and presentations will celebrate the printed image in all its forms.
More projects will be announced during the festival week.
