A whopping 1000 Hahnemühle fans took part in the photopia competition for the coveted NFL tickets for the Frankfurt Game. Six lucky winners were able to experience the football hype live in Germany on 5 November 2023 in the long sold-out iconic game Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs. Ex-football professional and photographer Jabari Fletcher set off the football fireworks first at Hahnemühle production site and then at the photo and imaging trade fair.

Hahnemühle in football hype
Jabari Fletcher, former college football player and All-American defensive end (Appalachian State College), participated with Jason Kelce (Philadelphia Eagles) in the 2011 Combine Cincinnati Draft and then as a free agent with the Cleveland Browns and The Dallas Cowboys. His journey took a different turn after an injury led him to follow his passion for photography.
The football star raffled off two tickets for the sold-out game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins among Hahnemühle employees in paper production. Hundreds of photopia visitors took their chance to win four more tickets by participating in a football throwing game at the Hahnemühle trade fair stand in Hamburg or through the Hahnemühle social media channels.
With Hahnemühle at the NFL Frankfurt Game
“We are different! Committed to a fusion of sport, entertainment and fan experience in order to attract new target groups and increase our brand awareness,” says Jan Wölfle, CEO Hahnemühle Group, adding “Sport, art and photography are closely linked for us, because we love and live high performance.”
The cooperation between Hahnemühle and the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the NFL’s top teams and reigning Super Bowl champions with a view to the 2024 Super Bowl, began in February 2023. At the WPPI Photo Fair in Las Vegas, Jan Wölfle met Steve Sanders, team photographer of the Chiefs and also Terryl Lloyd, team photographer of the San Francisco 49ers together with Jabari Fletcher, who lives locally in Las Vegas and has used and appreciated Hahnemühle papers for many years for his work as ESPN and MLS Photo Director.
On 5 November, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins celebrated the Football Festival in Germany, and six lucky ticket winners attended the spectacle in Frankfurt with Hahnemühle.

Sports sponsorship for brand awareness and young target groups
With this commitment, Hahnemühle is increasing its brand awareness and tapping into new, as well as young target groups. “That’s why we are also involved with the Schwenninger Wild Wings, who have made a great start to the new 1st league ice hockey season. Around 2 million Magenta TV viewers nationwide watch our Hahnemühle rooster in captivating, emotional games. Now we are looking forward to the nationwide free TV broadcast on 19 November against Red-Bull Munich.” For Jan Wölfle, CEO Hahnemühle Group, this is an electrifying win-win situation: “We are visible in the Wild Wings Stadium and at all games – including away-games in all German cities – on the jersey patches of a first division club in the German Ice Hockey League. This commitment is already paying off through substantial sales growth and a surge in demand from new target groups, also important especially during challenging times”.
Also strong with regional commitment
Hahnemühle also encourages the voluntary participation of its employees in sports, community service, or other local activities, both in their respective regions and at international subsidiaries. Through our local subsidiary in Crystal Lake/Chicago we are engaging with e.g. the Chicago Bears or Green Bay Packers all close to our subsidiary. Our subsidiary near Norwich City in England is engaging with Norwich City in the Pro-Soccer league in England. Hahnemühle France, located in Paris on the Champs Élysées, will present the brand and Hahnemühle’s world-class papers at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Hahnemühle also regularly supports regional sports clubs, youth fire brigades, church communities, kindergartens, and schools.
