Inland x Hahnemühle House & Exhibition at the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation
On the occasion of the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles 2025, Hahnemühle is proud to announce an exceptional artistic collaboration with Inland, a cooperative dedicated to the development of documentary photography. This partnership will result in a collective exhibition and a program of events celebrating emerging talent, diverse perspectives, and excellence in fine art printing.
First stop: Inland x Hahnemühle House at Maison Close
From July 7 to 11, 2025, Hahnemühle and Inland will welcome visitors to the Maison Close, a unique and inspiring venue in the heart of Arles. This will be an opportunity to discover the distinctive vision of each Inland photographer, all offering a committed perspective on the contemporary world through long-term documentary projects.
Inland brings together photographers based in France, England, Brazil, the United States, South Korea, Slovenia/China, La Réunion, Turkey, Belgium, and Germany. Together, they explore the contradictions, limits, and challenges of a world in constant transformation.
The photographs will be printed on Hahnemühle FineArt papers, chosen for their unique ability to capture the richness of tones, textures, and emotions in the images.
The Inland x Hahnemühle House will also serve as a true meeting place: the public will be able to engage freely with Inland cooperative members and Hahnemühle teams. Talks, workshops, and events will punctuate this week of exchange around documentary photography and fine art printing.
The opening night will take place on Tuesday, July 8, at 8 p.m., a highlight not to be missed.
A summer exhibition at the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation
That’s not all: Hahnemühle and Inland will also present an exhibition at the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation, open for the entire duration of the Rencontres d’Arles. This year, Inland is featured in the official program as a guest artist of Fotohaus Arles 2025, as part of the “Kontroverse & Paradoxe” exhibition hosted by the foundation.
“Thrutopia” is a collective project imagined by Inland. Taking a dystopian tale as its starting point, this installation of previously unpublished photographic works highlights creative initiatives of resistance and perseverance in a context where climate disruption remains unchecked, environmental pollution worsens, and fundamental freedoms are in decline. Through three acts, a prologue, and an epilogue, the authors remind us that, in times of great upheaval, the worst is never a certainty.*

A shared commitment to supporting emerging artists
Through this collaboration, Hahnemühle reaffirms its commitment to the new generation of photographers. By supporting artists in their choice of paper, printing process, and showcasing their work, we strive to amplify emerging voices and promote a photographic culture that is both demanding and open.
An experience to live in Arles — and beyond
Whether in the vibrant intimacy of the Inland x Hahnemühle House or within the unique universe of the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation, Inland x Hahnemühle invites visitors to experience a powerful, engaged, and deeply human photographic journey.
A must-see event of summer 2025.
