Kirill Golovchenko studied photography and communication design at the University of Darmstadt. In emphatic portraits “Bitter Honeydew” shows the fight for survival of the street vendors. The documentary work was awarded with the Abisag-Tüllmann Award and the European Publishers Award for Photography for artistic photojournalism. “For this work Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta is my favorite” says Golovchenko. “The warm tone of the textured paper supports the motive’s statement perfectly”.
