“Nature in the City” is the theme for our art calendar 2016. Share with us your views of the invigorating greenery in urban landscapes! Paint, draw, sketch, illustrate, collage or print in a traditional technique on a paper by Hahnemühle or Lana and submit your works by the end of June online.
A city park with skyline, stringed flower pots on the balcony or a vegetable garden on the roof – show us your green oasis or your dream of it! Hahnemühle drawing contest is to end on 30 June 2015. Join in and tell others about the competition!
Let yourself be inspired by designer and German Urban Sketcher Jens Hübner and his colored sketch from Brazil which is the motif for our ‘call for entries’ flyer: “Nature in the city is of great interest for me as Urban Sketcher. I love the vivid, vegetative forms and the pleasant natural colours of trees, shrubs, grasses and flowers contrasting the hard shapes and drab colors of architecture, vehicles and streets. Whether in Berlin or in Sao Paulo whether the style is as pure as some sketched lines or with running paint I still come up with interesting combinations on my bus rides, bike tours or when I discover cities by foot with my sketchbook in hand.”
