Portraits with empathy by Leica photographer Mario Marino

Mario Marino was born in 1967 in Austria. He has been a photographer since 2000 and is based in Germany. Marino has a special partnership with Leica and Hahnemühle and uses our matt, textured William Turner Digital FineArt Paper for all his gallery and museum exhibitions as well as for collectors´editions. Brasília – From Utopia to Capital

The most comprehensive exhibition on the unique history of the capital of Brazil, on a worldwide tour and so far more than 200,000 visitors, is on display from December, 12th  at the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. With 200 exhibits – including photographs by Peter Scheider from the construction period and Fabio Columbini from today´s Brasília – the emergence and development of the city is depicted. The reproductions of the analog black and white photos from the 1960s and the current architectural motifs from the metropolis are printed on the finest Hahnemühle Photo Rag ® Ultra Smooth.

A delicate composition: Hahnemühle's art calendar 2014 themed 'Music'

Nearly 700 images by 350 artists from 29 countries were submitted to the international 2013 calendar competition with the subject ‘Music’. Watercolors, acrylic paintings, collages, drawings, pastels and linocut prints show instruments, musicians, concert scenes and dances. It was, as always, a difficult task for the jury to select just 12 monthly motifs out of the abundance of submissions. Now, they have been chosen and Hahnemühle is proud to present the victorious motifs in a ‘sound’ 2014 art calendar.
