They queued patiently, rejoiced selfies with our Artist Signing photographers and talked about how to print photo art – the numerous visitors of our daily artist signing sessions at photokina 2016. The exclusive FineArt prints of Joachim Schmeisser, Peter Braunholz, René Staud, Werner Richner, Martin Häusler and Manfred Kriegelstein were quickly given away. Each photographer donated one of their precious motives, to attract visitors to our stand with the special appearance and radiance of Fine Art Prints when a motive gets printed on a matching Hahnemühle paper.
“I am delighted with the quality of the photo prints on a genuine artist paper. This is truly fine art photography, as I haven´t seen so far”, says René Staud about his iconic automotive photographic motif printed on FineArt Baryta. Each Artist Signing motif was printed in limited edition on a supportive paper from the award-winning Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Collection. “The structure and feel – as desired by each artist – accentuated very smooth or more textured – enhances the artistic impression of an image in a unique manner. I’ve been searching for a matching paper for a long time” says Peter Braunholz, who mostly prints large-format photographic art for collectors and galleries. Joachim Schmeisser gently touched each of his Artist Signing prints on the matt, finely structured German Etching paper. His elephant portrait comes out razor sharp, touching and vividly. “The feel of the paper corresponds perfectly with the skin structure of the elephants and the non-reflecting surface makes my motive appear three-dimensional”, says the Hasselblad Master photographer.
The small print with the signature of the artist have great value to many photoart lovers and photograhic enthusiasts. So we are lucky to give away five signed prints of each photographer exclusively here on our blog.
Apply until October, 12 2016 (24:00) with a comment underneath this blog post and name your favourite photographer whose motive you would like to win. A draw will select the winners.
