For Hahnemühle, the leading trade fair for photography and imaging is all about FineArt papers, exclusive photo art and perfect prints.
The new Photo Rag® Metallic, a shiny metallic 100% cotton paper that is completely unique on the market, will see its world debut. This new entry to the Digital FineArt Collection elevates motifs with metallic elements, reflections, ice and glass formations and architectural photographs to a new level of FineArt printing. Depending on the incidence of light, the metallic effect glimmers stronger and gives the printed motifs a unique liveliness.
The Hahnemühle Photo Gloss Baryta will be honoured at the awards ceremony of the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) 2018, which takes place at photokina. “We are proud to be successful for the sixth time in the ‘Best Inkjet Photo Paper’ category,” says Head of Marketing and Communications at Hahnemühle. Photo Gloss Baryta provides the dark-room properties of traditional barite paper but for FineArt printing, and thus appeals primarily to lovers of classical photography.
More than 30 motifs by internationally renowned photographers will grace Hahnemühle’s booth at photokina, turning it into a gallery. Martin Schoeller, Nigel Parry and Maria Svarbova, winner of the Hasselblad Masters Award 2018, are just three examples of big names in photography whose work will be exhibited at our booth. Printed on various Hahnemühle papers, the images offer visitors a retrospective of different genres of photography, as well as an insight into the inspiring array of the Hahnemühle FineArt product range.
Some of these motifs by internationally renowned photographers are available not only for viewing, but also as giveaways of high-quality prints. Artist signings of these high-quality prints will be held in the afternoons on all days of the trade fair, and additionally in the late mornings from Thursday on. Photokina visitors will be able to get one of 60 limited edition A5 prints from each artist with a bit of luck. All assigned photographers are available for signing and talks at booth A 25 in hall 3.1. Details about the artist signing sessions are published on blog.hahnemuehle.com.
Hahnemühle is considered the inventor of Digital FineArt papers for inkjet printing. As a pioneer, the oldest German artist paper manufactory has been refining its real artist papers for photography and art reproductions for more than 15 years. The papers – manufactured for more than 430 years with characteristic craftsmanship – receive a special coating, without influencing the noble haptics of the papers. This inkjet coating allows prints with pin-sharp details, in both rich colour and deep blacks. All papers have excellent aging resistance. The Hahnemühle Digital FineArt Collection offers more than 20 different papers, while the Hahnemühle Photo Range is comprised of eight media. Hahnemühle has a worldwide reputation as a ‘brand of the century’ among artists, photographers, museums, galleries and collectors. Headquartered in Dassel, Southern Lower Saxony; with offices in the United Kingdom, France, USA and China; the company employs approximately 200 people worldwide.
