From 21 to 24 September everything will revolve around the world of photography and videography at photopia in Hamburg. Hahnemühle will also be present at the third edition of the FESTIVAL OF IMAGING and will present 4+1 new products.
As the inventor and pioneer of FineArt inkjet papers, Hahnemühle fulfills the wishes of many photographers with these new products. In the spirit of black and white and analogue photography, the paper manufacturer launches three new baryta papers and a new sustainable photo paper.
Bamboo Gloss Baryta – the first glossy paper of the Natural Line
Hahnemühle Bamboo Gloss Baryta (305 gsm) sets a new standard as the world’s first FineArt inkjet paper crafted from 90% bamboo fibres with a premium high-gloss baryta inkjet coating. The natural white paper comes in a pleasant, warm shade of white and contains no optical brighteners. Combined with its lightly textured surface, Hahnemühle Bamboo Gloss Baryta offers a natural-looking aesthetic with the look and feel of an analogue baryta paper.
The paper enlarges Hahnemühle’s ‘Natural Line’ with papers made from tree-free fibers. From its proceeds, Hahnemühle supports environmental protection and environmental education projects as well as social projects in its Green Rooster program that is unique worldwide.

Photo Rag® Matt Baryta – the first matt Baryta paper of the Digital FineArt Collection
Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Matt Baryta (308 gsm), the first matt baryta paper of the Photo Rag® family lends FineArt prints a truly unique character and artistic note. The white cotton paper contains no optical brighteners and features a very fine, discreet surface. In combination with the matt premium inkjet coating, it guarantees outstanding print results with impressive reproduction of vivid colours, details, and deep blacks. The additional barium sulphate in the coating enhances the print’s tonal range, sharpness and clarity. The printed areas reveal an elegant, subtle sheen, while the unprinted areas remain matt to beautifully accentuate brilliance, making it an exclusive alternative to analogue baryta paper.
The now eleventh Photo Rag® paper from Hahnemühle is another benchmark paper for photographers who want to print their images in a particularly impressive and enduring way.

Photo Silk Baryta X – new version of the classic Photo Silk Baryta
The coveted and multiple award-winning Photo Silk Baryta is back – further developed for the highest demands! Photo Silk Baryta X (310 gsm) is a cellulose paper with an optimised inkjet coating for photo application, it is perfectly suited for photo and poster prints. The baryta coating gives the impression of a traditional silver halide photo paper. The smooth, creamy white paper with its silky gloss finish produces a very good print quality, ensuring the best results for daily printing.

The world’s first PE-free photo paper from Hahnemühle
In addition to the three new baryta papers, Hahnemühle is introducing another sustainable paper alternative to complement the Hahnemühle Photo line. This global paper novelty reflects Hahnemühle’s environmentally sensitive actions and innovative endeavours.
Hahnemühle Sustainable Photo Satin is a sustainable alternative to PE-based (polyethene) inkjet photo papers. The newly developed bio-inkjet coating is free of plastic composites/foils and 100% recyclable via the waste paper cycle. The bright white photo paper has a velvety-smooth surface and is perfect for sustainable photo and poster printing.

With photopia 2023, the tradition-rich company is not only ringing in its personal “Baryta Year”, but is also celebrating top sporting achievements and team spirit. The motto of booth 210 in hall A4 is ‘‘American Football – NFL’.
