A TRIBUTE TO FLOWERS by Richard Fischer is our latest Green Rooster-supported project. Richard Fischer is not only a photographer and artist but also a flower ambassador. His mission is clear: Creating awareness for the floral diversity on our planet.
‘The fact that we are set to lose one in three plant species within a decade makes my art extremely important, (…) As an artist, I believe in the power of art to create and transform, provoke new ways of thinking through visual representation and enrich people through new forms of experience. Biological diversity is an invaluable and irreplaceable resource…’, states Richard Fischer.
For more than 20 years, Richard Fischer has focused on the on-going drastic reduction of floral variety worldwide. That’s why he captures not only the beauty but also vulnerability of endangered flowers. His dedication, efforts and mission became visible in Europe’s largest floral-photographic exhibition. It consisted of 50 large-format FineArt prints on selected Hahnemühle FineArt papers. Most of them were printed on our new sustainable and vegan Hahnemühle Natural Line papers. The final exhibition in Amsterdam was completely printed by our Hahnemühle Certified Studio ‘Jan R. Smit – Fine Art Printing Specialist‘. Our interview with him will be presented in our next article.
You can find more information about Richard Fischer’s work and mission in today’s article.
