Photo competition 'Fascination Laboratory' – the winners

(C) Ronald Schultz, Deutschland, HöllenfeuerThe six winners have been selected out of 150 entries. The decision was not easy due to the variety of the submitted themes. Photographers from 11 countries captured young researchers, quantum physicists, high-tech as well as historically laboratories or microscope pictures and histological sections in their photos. The members of the panel were enthusiastic about the entries.

(c) Neville Petersen, South Africa, Sunny Lab“We are very satisfied that the competition motivated professionals and amateur photographers equally. All entries illustrate how fascinating the world of science is” says Barbara Knipper, responsible for the photo competition at Hahnemühle FineArt. “The images are real eye-catchers. Their beauty will be enhanced as large format fine art prints on our exclusive Hahnemühle inkjet paper in booths at the upcoming filtration fairs in 2013 and 2014.”

Each prize winner receives his awarded picture as a framed fine art print as well as a product voucher worth €500 list price.

Premium Filter Papers more than 125 years 'Made in Germany'

Label Made by HahnemuehleAs an investor in people, technology and tradition, Hahnemühle Fine Art will ensure its production remains in Germany. The company bucks the recent trend to re-locate production sites abroad. “The production of premium filter products requires a demanding manufacturing environment, which we only find in Germany at present.” explains Friedrich Nebel, Managing Director at Hahnemühle.

The oldest German paper mill has produced premium filter papers for more than 125 years at its site in Dassel. Due to this, Hahnemühle has an access to experienced and highly trained employees.  The solidarity of the staff with the paper mill and the passion for products, some of which are handmade, are two reasons for Hahnemühle’s success. Only selected raw materials and pure spring water are used for production.
