UPON PAPER #2 - inside With its imposing 49 x 69 centimetre format, UPON PAPER is set apart from your usual art magazine. Having been awarded with the red dot: grand prix 2012, the magazine perceives itself as an innovative platform for artists and creative people all over the world. Photographers such as Peter Bailey and Wolfgang Tillmans have contributed perspectives and positions to the topic COLOR – and the same applies to performance artist and painter Hermann Nitsch, musician and artist Kim Gordon and author Julia Zange. The cover of the issue was created by Peter Saville and the centrefold by Nick Knight, who crosses the borders between art, fashion and pop culture. Other artists who contributed to UPON PAPER #02 COLOR are – inter alia – the likes of Walter Pfeiffer, Erwan Frotin, Michele Abeles, David Benjamin Sherry, Solange Brand and Steve Shapiro.
