Building on our 400 year tradition of innovation we are delighted to present the new Hahnemühle Life Science PES (polyethersulfone) membranes and syringe filters.
The Hahnemühle Life Science hydrophilic PES membranes have an excellent flow rate due to their high porosity. This enables them to achieve an outstanding flow rate with aqueous as well as viscous solutions. The asymmetric membrane structure combines high flow with exceptional physical stability in end-use devices.
Due to the low protein binding, the Hahnemühle Life Science PES membrane made of synthetic fibres is suitable for filtering biological and pharmaceutical solutions without affecting the contents by adsorption or decomposition.
Hahnemühle PES membrane is offered with filter diameters from 25 mm to 142 mm and pore sizes of 0.2 μm and 0.45 μm.
Hahnemühle Life Science also offers the same PES membranes in PES syringe filters. These are a useful tool for volumes up to 200 ml. For easy handling, they offer a Luer lock (male) as an outlet and a Luer lock (female) as an inlet. The housing is made of polypropylene. The PES syringe filters are HPLC-tested and have a minimum extractable content of <0.1%.
“With the addition of PES membranes and syringe filters, we are strengthening and expanding Hahnemühle’s life science business. With the PES products we can meet the demand of our customers and offer further trustworthy quality products from Hahnemühle. Of course, all membrane products are clearly labelled to ensure continuous availability,” adds Dr Horst Rosenbauer, Business and Product Manager Hahnemühle Life Sciences.
