Hahnemühle´s Watercolour Postcards are real bestsellers and now also available with a matt paper surface. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the artist editions, the paper manufacturer launched cold pressed postcards in the limited metal boxes beside the rough postcards which already have collector status in their limited edition treasure box.
Those who want to create unique pieces of art in miniature format now have the choice: the cards with the round corners and the address field printed on the back impress mobile creatives. 30 cards with a grammage of 230 gsm come in a handy metal box, can be painted on the go and send. Watercolourists, plein air painters, illustrators or urban sketchers etc. love them.
Holiday greetings, a birthday card, a lettering, a travel portfolio, a picture story … the ideas on the rough or the new cold pressed postcards have no limits. The rough postcards have a characteristic woven structure that many artists incorporate into their small works of art. The matte paper is gently structured and restrained smooth. This surface allows brushes and any kind of pens to slide easily. The natural colour of both paper varieties make colours shine – just choose the surface you like. The paper is equally suitable for dry and wet painting techniques.
The trendy metal boxes are available from the 10th edition this year on with two wanderlust paintings from Italy by Alexa Dilla. Read also our blog article about the creation of a box motive. Each edition is limited. It is sold worldwide as long as stocks last. So, grab your box and look forward to your personal painting time with our video!
