CONTRASTS are welcome in Hahnem\u00fchle\u00b4s art calendar contest. This year\u00b4s international competition is now open. Hobbyists and professionals can participate and submit works of art in all painting and drawing techniques as well as in traditional printing methods.“I like the play of contrasts and use both complementary and chiaroscuro effects to create tension and bring vitality into my work. Regardless of technique and material, the precise expressive\u00a0references that I want to convey arise” says artist Cordula Kerlikowski. Her pictures in the invitation to this year’s painting competition for the Hahnem\u00fchle 2015 art calendar \u00a0are intended to inspire other artists – both hobbyists and professionals.<\/p>\n

\"\u00a9Cordula<\/a>“Hahnem\u00fchle papers provide an optimum opportunity to experiment with different weights, sizes and surfaces, so that the subject of my art and the material are working together in the desired way whether in acrylic painting, watercolor, drawing or in traditional printing processes. Diversity of the papers guarantees almost unlimited possibilities of artistic expression.” Cordula Kerlikowski is well versed in many painting and drawing techniques as well as in traditional and innovative printing techniques.<\/p>\n

Now, the German artist paper manufacturer is looking forward to entries from it fans worldwide. Welcome are works of art featuring the interplay of light and dark, colour and monochromatic or any other contrasting effects to create an ultimate art calendar for 2015.\"Hahnem\u00fchle<\/a><\/p>\n

Entry is open to all individuals. Up to five works of art in all painting, drawing or traditional printing technique are welcome. The only requirement: all images must be created on a paper by Hahnem\u00fchle or Lana. The closing date is June 30, 2014.<\/strong> <\/b>Entries can be submitted online via the upload portal on Hahnem\u00fchle\u00b4s website www.hahnemuehle.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

A jury will select the 12 victorious motifs for the 2015 art calendar \u00a0in autumn this year. It provides international recognition and is considered an honour for artists to be featured in the \u2018not-for-sale\u2019 calendar, which is published in a limited edition only as a give-away for Hahnem\u00fchle business partners all over the world.<\/p>\n

Winners will receive a creative package worth 350 \u20ac filled with artist paper from Hahnem\u00fchle as well as brushes and artists colours by renowned German manufacturers da Vinci<\/a> and Schmincke<\/a>.<\/p>\n
