The size of an image says nothing about its value. Artist Trading Cards (or ACEO\/ATC), such as the Hahnem\u00fchle Bamboo Mixed Media, are like small gems.<\/p>\n

\"bild01\"<\/a>ACEO\/ATC are little works of art and have been popular in the manga and art scene for quite a while, especially in Germany where the demand continues to rise strongly. The cards provide each artist the opportunity to immortalize his\/her skill on a minimum size of 6.4 x 8.9 cm. Of course, we offer larger sizes such as the maxi card, which is 12.8 x 8.9 cm.<\/p>\n

The cards can be exchanged and sold, collected or given away. Creativity has no limits. I myself started using these cards for my paintings in 2010.<\/p>\n

The name ACEO is a shortcut of Art Cards, Editions and Originals and the acronym ATC stands fo\"bild02.jpg\"<\/a>r Artist Trading Cards. It is a lot of fun to work on this special size and it’s always a challenge to put a little piece of art on these small paper sheets, as I usually work in formats such as A3. I find the small Hahnem\u00fchle Bamboo Mixed Media blocks <\/a>particularly useful, which can be applied in a size 8 x 10.5 cm. Pens, markers, Copics and watercolour can be used on these with ease.<\/p>\n

Due to the card format the painting can easily be rotated without creases or interfering edges ap-pearing. Finished cards get reinforced on the back and stored in covers, so they last a long time. The back sides are often designed and marked with the name of the artist, the title and a number. Addi-tionally it is noted if it is an original or a limited edition.<\/p>\n
