The world‘s largest photo exhibition began on 16 September 2014 in Cologne with an international award for a Hahnemühle Photo Paper. Hahnemühle Photo Silk Baryta 310 is the “Best Inkjet Photo Paper” for photo–journalists of the Technical Image Press Association – TIPA. The small trophy with the huge prestige is now the fifth award for a photo paper made by Hahnemühle. Winning this award confirms the leadership of the traditional paper factory from Lower Saxony (Germany).
Hahnemühle invented the digital artist papers fifteen years ago and is considered the pioneer of exclusive and above all durable papers for photography and art reproductions. The papers – for more than 400 years made in the paper manufactory – are provided now with an ink receiving layer that does not affect the feel of the paper. The paper offers in conjunction with the so-called inkjet coating for photo prints rich colors, a wide color gamut and sharp details.
International artists exhibit their work on the more than 20 different papers from Hahnemühle´s portfolio. In the world of photography and collectors prints on Hahnemühle paper have a great reputation. The papers “Made in Germany” are sought-after in 80 countries around the world.
Hahnemühle presented at photokina in Cologne until Sunday, September 21, 2014, new papers and photographic art. In Hall 3.1, Stand A25, images of international renowned photographers, e.g. Andreas H. Bitesnich and Mario Marino, are on display in large format. In another collaboration with the traditional German camera manufacturer Leica are also retrospectives of photographic world stars such as Thomas Hoepker in Hall 1 to admire on Hahnemühle paper.
