“My encounter with Hahnemühle Digital Fine Art papers started about 8 years ago when I was just starting out photography, more as a hobby initially but one that became an obsession very quickly. Prior to that, my prints has always been made in photo labs. Quality was a wee bit inconsistent and somehow I was never able to get the tonality that I wanted. Something was always lacking. That all changed when I chanced upon sample prints made on Hahnemühle papers at a local photography store.” From then on, I never looked back. If I had to make prints, it has to be on Hahnemühle papers. Over the years, I experimented with different kinds of print medium from different paper manufacturers. But I always find myself getting drawn back to the very paper that changed the way I looked at photographic prints. I’m a wedding photographer and I shoot mainly in film. With Hahnemühle papers, I’m able to produce the full tonal range from a film negative. The prints that I could produce were simply remarkable and it opened up a whole range of colour palette that I never knew existed.
One of the product that I’m proudest of is my flagship FineArt ArtistBook, a photo album that I have been faithfully producing since 2006. The album is completely handmade. Every print is hand mounted on a 4-ply conservation matt board. While the product has gone through many refinements over the years, one thing always remained the same: I only use Hahnemühle papers. The German Etching, Monet Canvas, Photo Rag ® and Photo Rag ® Satin are my personal favourites. These are some of the finest fine art papers I’ve ever printed on and many wedding couples have been proud owners of these iconic prints. Thank you for making such a remarkable product!”
