The new Hahnemühle artist papers received a very successful response from the public at ‘Creativeworld’ in Frankfurt. Furthermore, the tradition-rich company is absolutely delighted to have received the Product of the Year Award for its sketchbook ‘THE GREY BOOK’, presented by the PBS brand-industry association.
“You really feel the desire to either place the chic book on your desk or take it with you all the time,” association representative Christine Schmidhuber said in her commendation. A wood-style textured cover provides THE GREY BOOK with a pleasant feel and turns it into a solid product. The 80 light-grey pages with a particularly smooth surface can be used, for instance, for recording notes, sketches and project drafts. THE GREY BOOK is particularly well suited for fountain pen, Indian-ink pen and acrylic markers.
At the same time, the new watercolour papers ‘Harmony Watercolour’ made of pure cellulose and the 100-percent cotton ‘Expression Watercolour’ attracted particular attention. With these surface-sized papers we offer our customers a particularly sturdy and user-friendly product,” explains Rana Ardal-Altun, Product Manager Hahnemühle. Both products are available with a matt finish, as a block or sheet in different dimensions. Furthermore, Harmony Watercolour is available with a rough, cold pressed or hot pressed surface.
Two new papers for classic printing techniques and watercolour postcards complete the portfolio of the newly launched Hahnemühle products. “The positive reaction received from the many visitors in regards to our new range, demonstrates that we were successful when it came to detecting the latest trends, and that artistic expression with a paintbrush and pen enjoy ongoing popularity. Furthermore, the demand for top-class papers for traditional printing techniques, is in high demand,” added Ardal-Altun who was very happy with the course of Creativeworld.
Hahnemühle produces paper since 1584 and is the oldest German paper mill for artist papers. Besides traditional artist papers digital FineArt papers for inkjet prints are part of the portfolio today. The development and manufacture of technical specialty papers for industrial and research is another priority. Headquartered in Dassel and with offices in the UK, France, USA and China, Hahnemühle employs around 180 people.
